Warren Volleyball Drops Tough Match to McDowell in Home Opener

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren Dragons were sitting pretty following a 26-24 first-set win over McDowell in their home opener on Thursday.

The Trojans bounced back, however, earning a 3-1 win over the Dragons (24-26, 25-23, 25-8, 25-23).

Down 23-17 in the fourth set, the Trojans went on an 8-0 run to close out the match.

Leading Warren were Katie Madigan (18 digs, 11 kills, 4 aces), Ellee Irwin (11 kills), Halee Mineweaser (21 assists, 18 digs), and Summer Lucks (17 digs).

McDowell setter Alyssa Radtke was all over the court, finishing with 34 assists and eight digs on her way to Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Game honors.

Cassidy Cousins and Macy Testa were the recipients of Radtke’s sets. Cousins finished with 17 kills and 11 digs and Testa 16 kills and 17 digs. Sarah Boyd added 27 digs and six aces and Jocelyn Teresi five kills.
