STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Warren and McKean Counties beginning at 4 p.m. Monday.

The advisory runs until 4 p.m. Tuesday. Lake effect snow is expected with accumulations of one to three inches in most locations.

Narrow lake effect bands could produce five to seven inches of accumulation by Tuesday afternoon. Snowfall rates of two to three inches per hour are possible in these bands.

Slippery, snow covered roads and reduced visibility are possible.

“The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on driving conditions as winter weather impacts will include snow-covered roads and limited visibility in some areas,” the advisory said.
