STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Warren County beginning at 5 a.m. Sunday.
The advisory runs until 3 p.m. Sunday. Freezing rain is expected late Saturday night and into Sunday morning. The rain will turn to snow Sunday afternoon. Up to one-tenth of an inch of ice accumulation is possible, as well as snow accumulation up to one inch.
Slippery roads and reduced visibility are possible. Scattered power outages and tree damage could occur due to the ice accumulation.
“The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on driving conditions as winter weather impacts will include snow-covered roads and limited visibility in some areas,” the advisory said.
