STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Warren County beginning at 1 a.m. Thursday.

The Warning runs until 10 a.m Friday. Heavy snow with accumulations between seven and 10 inches is expected with this storm.

“Mixed precipitation tonight into Thursday should transition to snow Thursday night before ending Friday morning,” the NWS said.

Winter Storm Landon, having already impacted many parts of the midwest, is expected to arrive in the region late Wednesday night or early Thursday.

Hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening and Friday morning commutes.

“The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel as significant winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous,” according to the warning.
