STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a flood watch for Warren, McKean and Elk Counties beginning at noon on Tuesday.
The Watch runs until midnight tonight. Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible during this time.
Rainfall between 1 and 1 1/4 inches is expected Tuesday. Excessive runoff could cause rivers, creeks, and streams to rise out of their banks and flooding in low-lying and flood-prone locations is possible as well.
“Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop,” the NWS said.
