HERSHEY, Pa. – Warren’s Competitive Spirit squad turned in another stellar performance at the PIAA Competitive Spirit championships on Saturday.
A year after finishing fifth, the Dragons moved up a spot to take fourth and missed a third-place finish by less than a point.
Warren, competing in the 2A Large Varsity division, advanced directly to Saturday’s finals based on its performance in Friday’s prelims. The Dragons were fourth there as well, behind Hickory, Neshannock, and Archbishop Wood.
Those four would also be the top four after the finals, with Neshannock taking first, Hickory second, and Archbishop Wood third.
The Dragons finished with judges’ scores (three-judge panel) of 78.3, 77.8, and 77.9, for a final tally of 77 after a 1-point deduction. Archbishop Wood finished with a final score of 77.9667 after deductions. Neshannock won with a final score of 84.4667, while Hickory tallied 81.1333.
Scores are out of 100 points.
