Warren Police Warn of Phone Scam

August 17, 2021

WARREN, Pa. – The City of Warren Police Department would like to remind the citizens of Warren County that scam phone calls are still occurring each and every day.

As in the past, scammers are again attempting to seek funds from people by claiming they are fundraising for the City of Warren Police Department.

Neither the City of Warren Police Department nor the Warren Police Officers Association attempt to raise funds or ask for donations from citizens via phone.

If you receive a call that seems suspicious, immediately hang up and DO NOT provide the scammer with any of your personal information.

Police also urge people with elderly relatives to reiterate this information to them, as they are often the target of scammers.

If you have any questions, please call the City of Warren Police Department at 814-723-2700.
