Warren Players Announce Cast for ‘Jeeves at Sea’

February 1, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – Get ready to set sail for a hilarious new destination — with the cast of Warren Players’ upcoming production of “Jeeves at Sea.”

Directed by Kevin Hunt and produced by Adri Hunt, “Jeeves at Sea” features Patrick Mulligan as Jeeves, Austin Reese as Bertie, Brionna Childs as Lady Stella, Julie Fofana as Miss Pilbeam, Michael Stenberg as Crumpworth and Allan Branthoover as Count Otto. Also joining the cast are Mayan Cook and Jess Long as swings.

Adapted by Margaret Raether from British author P.G. Wodehouse’s series of comic novels, “Jeeves” is a delightful romp aboard a luxury ship in 1920s Monte Carlo that features Bertie Wooster, accompanied by his peerless valet, Jeeves, living the high life aboard the Vanderley yacht.

The feather-brained Bertie finds himself caught in the schemes of the mischievous Lady Stella, accompanied by her companion, Miss Pilbeam. Along the way, Bertie’s friend, Crumpet, has assaulted a prince, and, in a jiffy, Bertie is masquerading as a romance novelist, Crumpet is masquerading as his own long-lost twin, and a foreign count arrives on board, ready to challenge Bertie to a duel over the misunderstood affections of Miss Pillbeam. Will this madcap case of mistaken identities end in Bertie’s demise? Or worse, his marriage? Hopefully, the impressive Jeeves will sort it all out!

Performances are Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 24, 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m., all on the main stage of the historic Struthers Library Theatre.

Each ticket holder will receive one entry into a raffle at each performance, featuring great prizes donated by several local businesses. Plus, through a QR code, audience members can take a guess at how many times Jeeves says “Sir” to earn a chance to win a special giveaway.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and students, which includes a processing fee. They can be purchased in-person at the theater office, by phone at (814) 723-7231, or online at strutherslibrarytheatre.com
