NEW, WILMINGTON, Pa. – Warren Area High School graduate Alex Anderson was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the Week for the week of Jan. 24-30.
Anderson helped Thiel defeat W&J and Waynesburg, with a pair of wins by fall in the 157-pound bouts. In Tuesday’s win over W&J, he pinned Joshua Searle in 3:42. In Friday’s win over Waynesburg, he pinned Kyle Hinerman in 2:46.
The Tomcats are currently 7-0, including 2-0 in the PAC. This week, they head to Baldwin Wallace for the John Summa Invite on Friday, starting at 10 a.m.
