Warren Girls Run Shutout Streak to 10 Straight

October 22, 2020

WARREN, Pa. – While the offense has put on a dazzling scoring display, the defense has been equally impressive for the Warren girls soccer team.

The Dragons posted their 10th straight shutout with an 11-0 win over visiting Maplewood Thursday. Warren and keeper Alyssa Andersen have allowed just a single goal, on a penalty kick, all season. For the year, the Dragons have outscored opponents 109-1.

Offensively, Warren got hat tricks from Kyra Wotorson and Kyleigh Wilson. Those goals bring their season totals to 26 and 37, respectively. Wotorson added four assists, while Wilson had one helper.

Georgie Bickling had two goals and three assists, while Eliza Brook had a pair of goals. Ella Ordiway had a goal and two assists.

Warren travels to Franklin Monday.
