Warren Gets Road Sweep at Meadville

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Warren had four players with at least eight kills as the Dragons picked up their second straight win with a sweep at Meadville Tuesday.

Katie Madigan led the way with 15 kills and 16 digs in Warren’s 3-0 (27-25, 25-22 and 26-24) victory.

“Important varsity region win against a solid Meadville team,” Warren coach Mike Dolan said. “We started slow but were able to hang on with some tough serving at the end of the games. Our blocking and defense were solid and at times the offense looked good taking effective swings. We look to keep playing well with two more region games next week.”

Summer Lucks had 10 kills while Ellee Irwin had nine and Carly Beers eight. Irwin added eight digs and three aces and Beers had 10 digs.

Kylie Fehlman had four blocks and three kills and Halee Mineweaser ran the offense with 26 assists and added nine digs and two blocks.

Meadville won the junior varsity match 25-15, 23-25 and 15-8.

Maddy Jones had five kills, seven digs and two aces. Lindsay Madigan added three kills and five assists and Alyssa Farr had four assists.
