Warren Falls in Muddy Affair at Northwestern

October 17, 2021

ALBION, Pa. – The remnants of the storm that forced the game to be postponed were evident as both teams battled each other and a sloppy field.

In the end, it was Northwestern that came away with a 22-7 win over Warren on Saturday.

Ryan Tewell tossed a pair of first-half touchdown passes, an 18-yard strike to Eric Dorr and a 9-yarder to Jordan Dohanic.

Tewell put the finishing touches on the game with a 1-yard scoring plunge in the fourth quarter, the only score by either team in the second half. He also added the 2-point conversion after his touchdown run.

The Dragons scored their lone touchdown of the game in the second quarter, as the big play connection of Eric Dippold to Ben White hooked up once again on an 82-yard touchdown.

White continued his big season with 147 yards receiving.

Lloyd Fountain had a strong game on the ground for the Wildcats with 143 yards.

Dippold threw for 207 yards and Tommy Nyquist had 55 yards rushing for the Dragons.

Northwestern improved to 6-0, while Warren dropped to 4-4.
