Warren County Riders Among the Best in the Nation

MCDONALD, Tenn. – Three Warren County riders, Alivia Hallas, Alivia Hoffman, and Ryleigh Bowers, competed at the Youth Equestrian Development Association National Championship.

Hallas, who will be a sophomore at Warren Area High School, in her first trip to nationals won the National Championship for Individual Rail Horsemanship, was a Reserve National Champion for Team Rail Horsemanship, and part of the Sr. High Reserve Champion Team. Her efforts earned her a $2,500 4-year renewable scholarship to the University of Findlay, and a $1,000 scholarship to Lake Erie College.

Hoffman rode in Junior Ruby Rail and placed 4th in the Nation. Hoffman also rode in the Junior Ruby Pattern team event and came home as the Reserve National Champion.

Bowers rode in the Senior Sapphire Ranch Rail/Pattern Horsemanship and placed 6th in the Nation. Bowers also rode in the invitational round of the Senior Sapphire ranch riding, placing 1st, which advanced her to the final individual ride. In the final ride, Bowers placed 9th.
