WARREN, Pa. – Five new COVID-19 cases reported over the weekend brought Warren County’s total for November to 40
The county had been at 36 cases following the nine reported Friday, but one of those cases was removed sometime after 8 p.m. Sunday. That brought the monthly total to 35.
Three new cases were reported Saturday and two more were added Sunday moving the total to 40 for November. The cumulative county case count now stands at 111, 97 confirmed and 14 probable.
Warren County remained in the “moderate” tier of community spread based on data released Monday. Crawford, Elk, Erie, McKean and Venango Counties are all in the “substantial” tier, while Forest County remains “low.”
Nov. 8 remains the only day this month without a new case reported. The sharp increase in new cases prompted Warren General Hospital to adopt a new visitation policy.
Despite the increase in positive cases, there remains just a single death reported for the county.
The cumulative case count includes those cases the state considers “recovered.”
A case is considered recovered “if a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered,” according to the Department of Health.
