Warren County Crime Stoppers Approves Pair of Rewards

January 21, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – Warren County Crime Stoppers approved a pair of rewards during Friday’s meeting.

The rewards, which are the first handed out in over three years by Crime Stoppers, were approved for $500 and $100.

Crime Stoppers has been largely non-existent since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020.

The $500 reward was for an individual whose call helped lead to the arrest of Cody Pothoff in Warren County in 2020. Potthof was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to second and third-degree murder in Erie County in 2021.

“That call helped prevent a possible shootout,” said Warren County Sheriff Brian Zeybel. “They didn’t have to do that and they did.”

The $100 reward went to an individual whose call helped lead to an arrest for theft.
