WARREN, Pa. – In case anyone was doubting it, Dec. 25 will be Christmas Day in Warren County in 2022.

The County Commissioners, at their Dec. 14 meeting, erased any doubt when they passed a proclamation proclaiming Dec. 25, 2022 Christmas Day in Warren County.

“For 2,000 years we have celebrated Christmas, and, of course, Warren County, at least for the last six or so years, has proclaimed a holiday officially in Warren County,” Commissioner Ben Kafferlin said. “We continue that tradition by proclaiming Dec. 25 as Christmas Day. I am going to ask that citizens and employees enjoy the reason for the season and their families.”

Editor’s Notes: Christmas was declared a federal holiday in the United States June 26, 1870.
