Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry March Newsletter

March 4, 2021

According to Irish tradition, a person to find a four-leaf clover are destined for good luck, as each leaf in the clover symbolizes good omens for faith, hope, love, and luck for the finder.

It has been said that “luck” is the convergence of preparation and opportunity.

If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often. Do not just sit by and hope, wish, or pray that things change.

We are in a season of change in our community. We can let this change bring anxiety, or we can get prepared. Change happens and, unfortunately, more is coming. However, change brings opportunity. There are many great committees, with endless opportunities, that need your help, projects that are underway, and charitable organizations that you can get involved in. When you donate your time and energies to doing something to help the organizations of Warren County, luck might just come your way.

If you are unsure of what organization(s) might need help in Warren County, do not hesitate to contact a staff member at the Chamber. We can take your contact information and connect you with the right people. Maybe you have spare time to walk a few dogs or cuddle some adorable cats? (Paws Along the River Humane Society) Maybe you are looking for something to reconnect you with nature? (Allegheny River Cleanup) Maybe the creative arts are where your heart lies? (Allegheny Center for the Arts) Maybe you are passionate about re-development and the future of your community? (Trestle-to-Trestle Taskforce) These few are just a glimpse into the endless possibilities that Warren County has to offer for volunteer opportunities.

Why not try to make your own luck? After all, your odds of finding a four-leaf clover on your first try are 10,000 to 1.

Letter from the staff:

It is hard to believe we are going on a full year of fighting COVID.

Whether you have been wearing masks in public, donating to food pantries, skipping holiday parties and nights out, ordering more take-out, or making local shopping a priority, we appreciate every citizen of our community. You all have shown that you can come together to rise to the challenges of this past year. To our members, we want to express how much we appreciate your support, now more than ever, and we are here to support you right back!

The Chamber knows all too well what a year of canceled events has meant to our bottom line and we know the struggles small businesses have persevered through and will continue to face. At WCCBI, we are expanding our benefits, emphasizing those that are underutilized, and want every member to receive maximum benefit from their association with us. We look forward to working with you all, as we get through COVID, stronger and better than ever before.

Sincerely,

WCCBI Staff
