Warren Boys Blank Seneca in Region Showdown; Franklin Topples Eisenhower

September 13, 2022

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Parks Ordiway scored a pair of goals and Will Nebinski stood tall in net as Warren earned a 2-0 Region 4 win at Seneca on Monday.

Ordiway scored his first goal on an assist from Mark Lynds, then buried his second on a penalty kick. Nebinski recorded 12 saves for the shutout win.

“Our younger players are starting to settle in,” Warren coach Denny Flatt said. “Along with the experience of our older players, we are starting to play a higher level soccer.”

The Dragons’ coaching staff also pointed out the defensive play of Corban Reinard, Dakota Sliter, Chase Sitler, and Ethan Best in contributing to the shutout win.

The win also evened the Region 4 standings as the Bobcats suffered their first region loss of the season.

“It was a total team effort on the part of the Dragons, and a playoff-level atmosphere from the first whistle,” Warren assistant coach Chris Darling said.

The Dragons will get their first taste of home on Wednesday when Warren hosts Iroquois in another Region 4 match.
