Warren Based State Police Investigating Scammer

Warren based state police are investigating a scam in which an individual withdrew $10,000 from a known victim’s bank account in Pittsfield Township, claiming he would repair the victim’s computer.

The victim gave the individual his personal bank account information to allow for the $350.00 transaction. The scammer then withdrew the $10,000, according to the report.

The investigation is ongoing and individuals are reminded to not give personal financial information to anyone they don’t know.
