ST. MARYS, Pa. – Carter Redmond struck out Gio Elinsky with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the seventh inning, as St. Marys held on to beat visiting Warren, 8-7.
The Dutch led 8-3 going to the seventh but a catcher’s inference call with one out in the seventh opened the door for the Dragons.
Anthony Errett cut the deficit to four, 8-4, with a single, and Owen Blum made it 8-5 with another single before a two-out error on left fielder Alex Vollmer on a ball hit by Carson Farr allowed two more runs o score.
After Konner Hoffman walked, St. Marys made the pitching change to Redmond, who needed just three pitches to secure the victory.
Conner Straub had a pair of RBIs for St. Marys while going 1-for-3 with a walk, while Carter Price also drove in two going 1-for-2 with a double. Kaden Snelick was 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored in the win, and Logan Mosier was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI.
Blum was 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and three RBIs for Warren with Errett going 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.
Christian Coudriet got the win going 5 ⅔ innings allowing five runs, two earned, on four hits, a walk, and a hit batter while striking out 12.
Tanner Shrefler went one inning giving up two earned runs on a hit and three walks, Mosier walked two batters, and Redmond got the only guy he faced for the save.
Brady Berdine took the loss going 3 ⅔ innings allowing five earned runs on five hits, five walks, and a hit batter while striking out seven. Aidan Zdarko pitched 1 ⅔ innings giving up three earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one. Farr pitched ⅔ of an inning with a strikeout.

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Cambridge Springs scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back in a 10-0, five-inning win over Youngsville.
Bryce Kania and Brock Cunningham each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Blue Devils, while Nathan Held doubled and drove in a pair, and Peyton Gorton scored two runs.
Gorton to the win, tossing 3 ⅓ shutout innings, allowing two hits, striking out two, and walking two. Alex Dubet also went 1 2/3 shutout frames.
Nate Lucks suffered the loss for Youngsville, allowing eight runs (six earned) in 4 ⅓ innings, allowing five hits and seven walks while striking out six.
Keegan Messel, Wyatt Dalrymple, and Ethan Senz had Youngsville’s hits.
