UPDATE: Union City Man Charged with Homicide in Weekend Death

CORRY, Pa. – A Union City man is in jail after being charged with homicide in the weekend death of a Corry man, according to a state police update.

Corry-based Pennsylvania State Police are reporting that Paul V. Carnrike Jr, 50 of Union City, was charged Tuesday with criminal homicide in the death of Michael Gregg Thieme, 50 of Corry, over the weekend.

Troopers were called to an address in Bloomfield Township at approximately 12:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a deceased male, police said. On arrival, police discovered Thieme’s body and began investigating the incident as a homicide.

Carnrike was charged with homicide Tuesday and remanded to Crawford County Jail. Carnrike was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Samuel Pendolino Wednesday morning and was denied bail. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Dec. 16.
