Tough Day on the Diamond for Warren, Eisenhower

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Harbor Creek scored 13 runs in the first inning on its way to an 18-3 win over Warren.

The Huskies did all their damage on just seven hits, taking advantage of eight walks and four errors by the Dragons.

The Huskies did hit three long balls as Eli Moon, Trent Sunafrank and Alex Maldonado all went deep. All three players drove in four runs each, while Gio Barbato was 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Brady Rzodkiewicz got the win, tossing three innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits, striking out five without issuing a walk.

Warren actually took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first Eric Dippold and Paul Smith had RBI singles and Owen Blum had a sac fly.

Ben Sowa took the loss, allowing four runs in ⅓ of an inning, walking three, and striking out one.

ROCKY GROVE 17, EISENHOWER 2, 4 innings

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Aaron Burkahrdt went 3-for-4 with four RBI as Rocky Grove powered to a 17-2 win over Eisenhower.

The Orioles scored 12 runs in the first inning, with Reece Henderson also going 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and three runs. Burkhardt doubled and tripled.

Nine different Rocky Grove players had at least one RBI. Isaac Clayton finished 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI.

Four different Rocky Grove pitchers combined on a two-hitter, striking out four and walking two.

Cole Chapman had both of Eisenhower’s hits.

Garrett Jensen took the loss, allowing 11 earned runs in ⅔ of an innings, walking three and striking out one on nine hits.
