No. 9: Warren Wins D10 Competitive Cheer Title

The Warren Area High School cheerleading squad had plenty to cheer about in 2020-21, including themselves.

The Dragon competitive cheer squad traveled to the Hagerty Family Events Center in Erie on March 20 for the District 10 Competitive Cheer Championships and came home with a D10 title, their second in four years.

Warren beat Oil City to come away with the Large Division championship.

It was the Dragons’ second D10 title (2017 Medium Division). Warren’s team total of 76.2 points was second behind McDowell (86.3), but earned the Dragons a trip to the PIAA State Competitive Cheer Championships.

The Dragons got to cheer for a number of D10 champions (both teams and individuals) throughout the season, but on this occasion, it was the cheerleaders themselves who deserved the accolades.
