Tionesta Shines in National Spotlight of Home Renovation TV

TIONESTA, Pa. – Tionesta recently played host to a new television series, Renovation Hunters, as film crew, builders and industry experts worked to renovate a local cabin.

The property, which is the third project for the show, is owned by the Lutz family and has been a beloved getaway for decades.

Filming wrapped up on Monday. Session 1 of Renovation Hunters is set to air on the Outdoor Channel in 2023, and multiple episodes will highlight the Tionesta property, including the local area and the Lutz family.

Several partner companies were also onsite throughout the week to help complete the project, including Wall Control, Metabo HPT, Case Knives, Sweet Dreams Furniture and Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods.

“We are really excited about this opportunity! We’ve gotten to work with some great people thanks to our partnership with Renovation Hunters, and I think this show will resonate with a lot of viewers,” said Steve Stack, director of new business development at Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods. “Seeing the looks on the family’s faces during this cabin reveal was priceless!”

Renovation Hunters is the first renovation show on the Outdoor Channel, with the goal of blending the outdoors with the world of home improvement. Hosted by Hal Shaffer, a lifelong outdoorsman and co-host of the highly acclaimed Drop Zone reality hunting show, the series looks to help families
make memories in the great outdoors.

“Sure, getting a whitetail every year is a blast, but the real memories are made back at camp. We want to get people back outside, spending time with their friends and family, and making memories that will last a lifetime,” says Shaffer. “Hunting and fishing camps get neglected because you’re there to hunt or fish, not tear out the floors. That’s where Renovation Hunters comes in!”

The Outdoor Channel can be found on Hulu, Roku, DirectTV and additional providers.
