Tidioute Charter Volleyball Knocks Off Venango Catholic; Corry Hands Clarion Second Straight Loss

TIDIOUTE, Pa. – Lexis Drunkenbrod had four kills, four aces, and a set assist to lead Tidioute Charter to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-8, 25-6) over visiting Venango Catholic.

Zaynah Gardner added eight set assists, five digs, three aces, and a kill for the Bulldogs who also got five kills, six aces, seven digs, and a set assist from Brooksten Fors. Callan Patterson also had five aces, two digs, and a kill.

CORRY HANDS CLARION SECOND STRAIGHT LOSS FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2016

CORRY, Pa. – Aubrey Chase had 11 kills, five digs, and an ace, as Corry handed visiting Clarion its second consecutive loss, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-16).

Makenna Moore paced the Beavers defense with 22 digs while adding six kills and four aces, while Halle Albers had four kills, 11 digs, three aces, and a set assist.

Also for Corry, Taylor Elchynski added 16 digs and two aces.

Running the offense for the Beavers were Payton McCray and Kendyll Chamberlin with McCray recording 17 set assists along with three digs, two aces, and two kills and Chamberlin 11 set assists to go with three digs.

It marked the first time since 2016 Clarion lost two straight matches (District 9 semifinals and consolation) and the first time since 2011 the Lady Cats lost back-to-back regular-season matches.
