Thursday Morning Crash Claims Life of Sugar Grove Man

SUGAR GROVE, Pa. – A crash at the intersection of Warren Rd. and Teal HIll Rd. in Sugar Grove Borough claimed the life of a Sugar Grove man on Thursday morning, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

At 4:59 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 16), Dillon Edwards, 24, was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier east on Teal Hill Rd. when he did not stop at the stop sign at Warren Rd., troopers said. The vehicle then collided with a Nissan Xterra SUV heading south on Warren Rd.

Edwards was transported to WCA Hospital in Jamestown (N.Y.), where he succumbed to his injuries, troopers said.

One passenger in Edwards’ vehicle, Erin Passenger, was flown to UPMC Hamot for her injuries according to the report.

The driver of the Nissan vehicle, a 45-year old Warren man, along with his passenger, did not requirer, per troopers.

PSP was assisted at the scene by EmergyCare, Sugar Grove Fire Department, Busti Fire Department and Lander Fire Department.
