October 30, 2022

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Warren’s Sam Lindell, Shyanne Rulander, and Morgan Alexander advance to the PIAA cross country championships with their performance at the District 10 championships on Saturday.

Lindell finished third overall with a time of 16:06, behind only Cathedral Prep’s Luke Brown (15:45) and Grove City’s MJ Pottinger (16:01).

For the girls, Rulander finished 10th in 19:59, while Alexander was 14th in 20:17. Cathedral Prep’s Sarah Clark took first in 18:47.

“It was a great run at the District 10 championships for the Warren Dragons,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. “We had three individuals qualify for the PIAA State Cross Country Championships next week in Hershey. Sam Lindell was third in 16:06, Shyanne Rulander 10th in 19:59, and Morgan Alexander 14th in 20:17. Nine out of ten that ran today had huge personal bests, which is what we strive for. We want these kids running their best at their last meet of the year. We are excited to run next week at Hershey and hope to bring home some medals from there too.”
