YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – While a pair of bowlers dominated the boys’ team, the top spot on the girls’ team was once again decided by a single point for the Valley Bowling Center Varsity Teams for the week of Feb. 19.
For the second time in three weeks, Eisenhower’s Payton Frank held off a challenge for the top spot on the girls’ team. Frank scored a 665 for the week with Warren’s Ella Card right behind at 664. Fellow Dragons Alix Lytle (638) and Lennon Dailey (633) rounded out the girls’ team.
While it was a battle atop the girls’ team, Youngsville’s Dominic Sproveri and Warren’s Owen Blum ran away with the top two spots on the boys’ team. Sproveri finished with a 738 for the week, while Blum came in with a 722. Youngsville’s Tommy Jukes (673) and Warren’s Ricky Madril (663) took the third and fourth spots, respectively.
Braddock Damore posted the top game and series during Friday League action. He had a high game 206 to finish with a 585 series.
Jukes led the way in Saturday Strikers play with a high game 254 on his way to a 556 series. Sproveri also finished over 500 with a 507.
