Softball: Warren Gets Extra-Inning Win at GM; Youngsville Shut Out by Cambridge Springs

EDINBORO, Pa. – Warren scored two runs in the eighth inning to earn an 8-6 win over General McLane.
In the eighth, Halle Kuzminski reached on an error, allowing Rylie Yeager to score. Kuzminski also came around to score on an error, one of four GM miscues in the game.
Warren led 6-2 after four innings, but GM rallied with four runs in the fifth to tie the game at 6-6, a score that held until the eighth.

Kelsey Stuart drove in three runs for the Dragons, while Ellee Irwin had three hits and scored a run. Kuzminski scored a pair of runs, and Alix Lytle, Yeager and Lexi Hoffman also had RBIs.

Stuart got the win on the mound, striking out 12 and allowing 11 hits without issuing a walk.

For GM, Catrina Miller homered and drove in a pair of runs. Samantha Herberg, Sarah Banta, Miller, Bailey Cannon and Elena Halmi all had multiple hits for the Lancers.

Cannon took the loss on the mound but allowed just three earned runs while striking out eight.

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Cheyenne Mosconi and Hailee Rodgers drove in three runs each as Cambridge Springs earned a 15-0 win over Youngsville.

The Blue Devils scored 12 of their 15 runs in the first inning.

Mosconi, Paige Verbanac, Myranda Findlay, Aly Acosta-Reyes and Abby Goetz all had RBI hits in the first inning for the Blue Devils.

Goetz doubled and drove in a pair of runs, as Cambridge Springs advantage of three Youngsville errors.

Rodgers allowed just one hit, striking out six.
