Slocum Takes First at NPAA Juried Exhibition

ERIE, Pa. – Warren’s Kim Slocum took first place at the Northwestern Pennsylvania Artists Association’s eighth biennial juried exhibition at the Customs House of the Erie Art Museum.

Slocum took first with her acrylic painting, “Waiting.” Fifty artists submitted 128 works for the exhibition.

“A heartfelt congratulations to all these talented artists,” the NPAA said in a release. “Their works . . . have enriched the vibrant tapestry of the art community.”

Other winners include:

2nd Place: Rachel Burke with “A Landscape Event” in Oil on Canvas

3rd Place: Brian Pardini, creator of the sculpture “Medusa”

Honorable Mentions:

Rich Holmgren for “Maine Coastline” in Pastel

Bryan Toy, the artist behind “Star City” in Acrylic on Canvas

Rob Weber, creator of the wood sculpture “School of Mallets”

“This biennial event, hosted at the historic Customs House of the Erie Art Museum, underscores NPAA’s commitment to supporting artists through exhibitions, education, and scholarships,” the NPAA said.
