WARREN, Pa. – St. Marys exploded for seven runs in the first inning on its way to an 11-1, 4-inning win over Warren in Boys Minors All-Stars action at Betts-Jackson Field Friday.
Matt Shippee hit a leadoff single for Warren, and Keegan Weissinger singled Shippee home with one out in the first.
Weissinger’s RBI single would be the last hit St. Marys pitcher Leo Simbeck allowed in the game.
Four more Warren batters reached, three walks and a hit batter, in the final three innings.
Warren will host Bradford on Tuesday at Betts-Jackson with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
