Sheffield Overcomes Slow Start To Trounce Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – A slow start turned out to be no problem for the Sheffield Wolverines on Wednesday.

Trailing 13-2 after the first quarter, the Wolverines outscored the Rockets 60-23 the rest of the way en route to a 62-26 victory, improving to 2-0 in the process.

Tyler Hepinger led the way for Sheffield, pouring in 20 points, giving him 41 through the first two games of the season. He scored 13 of those points during a second quarter surge that saw Sheffield take a 29-28 halftime lead.

Lucas McNeal and Connor Finch did most of their damage in the second half as the Wolverines pulled away, finishing with 12 points apiece.

Manny Perez led Titusville with 13 points.

The Wolverines return to action Friday, hosting DuBois Central Catholic.
