SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Sheffield looked in good shape through three quarters against Union City. Then the Bears’ Matthew Bennett.
Bennett scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, part of an effort that saw the Bears outscore the Wolverines 26-10 in the fourth quarter en route to a 73-65 victory.
It overshadowed another huge game from the Wolverines’ Tyler Hepinger, who scored 28 points, 16 of which came in the second half. Hepinger passed his grandfather on Sheffield’s all-time scoring list in the process.
Connor Johnson knocked down a pair of third-quarter 3’s on his way to 11 points, while Tony Richards added nine and Lucas McNeal.
Cole DeSimone netted 21 points for Union City.
