Andy CloseSharon “Sherry” Fisher, 63, of 16525 Route 957 Bear Lake, Pa., passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.
Born Oct. 3, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Howard DuVall and Margaret Franklin DuVall Mohney. Sherry married James Fisher on Aug. 30, 1975, who survives her. She and her husband owned and operated Fisher’s Corner Mart in Lottsville for many years.
Sherry was a true homemaker and had a real passion for sewing. She loved making her grandchildren Halloween Costumes and Easter dresses every year. She enjoyed flower gardening, making cakes, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Matthew (Casey) Fisher of Corry; a daughter, Kristi (David) Hice of Russell; four sisters: Barb DuVall of Georgia, Mary DuVall of Jamestown, N.Y., Cindy DuVall Klomp of Sugar Grove and Laurie DuVall formerly of Jamestown, N.Y; five grandchildren: Kadence, Ava, Sophia, Lillyana and Abella; a dear cousin, Lori Rounsville of Smethport; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Fisher in 1996; a grandson, Abel Fisher in 2007; and; a sister, Peggy (Margaret) DuVall in 1957.
Friends will be received for a time of visitation at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 117 Main St., Sugar Grove, Pa., on Tuesday, July 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 21st at 11 a.m., with the Rev Larry Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Lottsville Cemetery.
