On Friday the 16th from 6-7 p.m., there will be a ‘Family Nature Walk.’ Create a nature journal to use on this .5 mile walk as you learn about the different plants and animals found in the woods and stream. All materials will be provided.

Also on Friday the 16th from 8-9 p.m. there will be ‘Park at Dusk.’ Join the park naturalist to find out about animals that are active as the sun sets. Bats, fireflies and owls may be some of those critters.

On Saturday the 17th from 10-11 a.m., there will be a ‘Vernal Pool Exploration.’ Join Hannah Hornyak, a student at the University of Montana, to look for salamanders and other critters. Learn about the life cycle, where they live and what makes them so unique. There will be an easy walk to the vernal pools. Be sure to wear shoes you can get wet.

On Saturday the 17th from 1-3 p.m, there will be an ‘Introduction to Geocaching.’ Learn about this high-tech scavenger hunt and how to use a GPS unit to discover the intriguing world of geocaching. A limited number of GPS units will be provided for use. This program is for all ages.
