WARREN, Pa. – There will be a Second Harvest Food Bank Military Share food distribution on Friday (Aug. 26) at 3:30 p.m. at the Penelec parking lot.
“In northwest Pennsylvania, one in four households receiving food assistance has at least one household member who has served in the military or is serving in the military,” Second Harvest said in a release.
Questions about the free program can be directed to the Second Harvest Helpline at 814-459-3663, ext. 117. The distribution will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“The Military Share program of Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania delivers fresh, nutritious foods to families with at least one member who has served or is serving in the armed forces or National Guard,” Second Harvest said.
