COOKSBURG, Pa. – According to the Oil City Derrick, a search is currently underway for a 43-year old woman in the area of Cook Forest State Park.
The unnamed woman was last seen near the Cook Forest State Park Fire Tower on Fire Tower Road, according to the paper.
The paper, citing park manager Ryan Borcz, said the woman’s vehicle was found on Fire Tower Road, near Route 36, at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, prompting the search.
Units responding for the search including volunteer fire departments from Marienville, Farmington Township, Sigel, and Emlenton, according to the Pulse Point app as well as Clarion state police, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources rangers.
Borcz, told the Derrick that search-and-rescue dog teams have also been used, and that the entrance to Fire Tower Road is closed until the search is complete.
