Search for Missing Woman Suspended Until Thursday Morning

COOKSBURG, Pa. – The search for a woman in the area of Cook Forest State Park has been suspended until 7 a.m. Thursday, sources told Your Daily Local.

The 43-year-old was last seen near the Cook Forest State Park Fire Tower on Fire Tower Road, according to a story in the Oil City Derrick.

The paper, citing park manager Ryan Borcz, said the woman’s vehicle was found on Fire Tower Road, near Route 36, at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, prompting the search.

Units responding to the search include volunteer fire departments from Marienville, Farmington Township, Sigel, and Emlenton, according to the Pulse Point app as well as Clarion state police, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources rangers.

Borcz told the Derrick that search-and-rescue dog teams have also been used and that the entrance to Fire Tower Road is closed until the search is complete.
