Salvation Army Now Home to 2 Voting Precincts in Warren

March 11, 2021

A pair of voting precincts in the City of Warren officially have a new home.

The Salvation Army, located at 311 Beech St., will now house Warren South and Warren West, in a motion approved at the Board of Elections meeting on Wednesday.

The south side precinct was formerly located at the Seneca Building, along with Warren West, which had been at St. Joseph Church.

“We toured two locations, the Salvation Army and Trinity Episcopal Church,” said Elections Director Lisa Rivett. “We decided to go with the Salvation Army with the primary reasons being the parking, the handicap parking, and the general space overall.”

Added Commissioner Ben Kafferlin: “I’m pleased that both precincts will now have a permanent home.”
