Saegertown Tops Sheffield to Win Sheffield Sports Boosters Tip-Off Tournament Title

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Isaac Johnson and Brady Greco scored 15 points apiece as Saegertown knocked off Sheffield, 52-32, to claim the Sheffield Sports Boosters Tip-off Tournament title.

Tournament MVP Jaden Wilkins had 13 points for Saegertown, which built a 31-15 lead en route to the win.

Tony Richards led Sheffield with 11 points, while Lucas McNeal chipped in seven and Caden Copley six.

NORTH CLARION 53, PORT ALLEGANY 28

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Aiden Hartle scored a game-high 20 points to help North Clarion to a 53-28 win over Port Allegany in the consolation game of the Sheffield Tip-off Tournament.

Collin Schmader added 18 points in the win.

Blane Moses had 10 points for Port Allegany.

SHEFFIELD 30, PORT ALLEGANY 29
Drew Evens missed a pair of free throws with 1.2 seconds left, as Sheffield held on to beat Port Allegany, 30-29, in the opening round of the Sheffield Tip-off Tournament.

The Wolverines won despite not scoring the third quarter. They led 20-10 at halftime but found themselves tied at 20 going to the fourth quarter.

In the final frame, Lucas McNeal scored five of Sheffield’s 10 points to help lead it to victory. It was all of McNeal’s scoring on the night.

Tony Richards led the Wolverines with nine points, Caden Copley added seven, and Connor Finch six.

Noah Archer led Port Allegany with nine points, three steals, and two assists, Evens added six points, four steals, four rebounds, and two helpers and did hit a big 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to help keep the Gators in the game, and Blaine Moses had four points and eight rebounds.

SAEGERTOWN 52, NORTH CLARION 40
Saegertown outscored North Clarion 27-10 in the second half to rally for a 52-40 victory in the opening round of the Sheffield Sports Booster Tip-Off Tournament.

Jaden Wilkins and Brady Greco combined to score 43 of the Panthers’ 52 points, with Wilkins tallying 22 and Greco 21.

Collin Schmader scored 15 points to lead North Clarion, while Aiden Hartle added nine and Josh Daum eight.
