Robert “Bob” Gibson, 82, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, went home to the Lord, January 10, 2021 at the Warren Manor after suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

Bob loved to be outdoors walking his dog Sassy, camping, traveling and working on his land.  After retiring, he and his wife, Carolyn, spent the winters in Arizona enjoying the warm weather. Bob loved his family and he never met a stranger as he was warm, kind and friendly.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mattie (Leech) Gibson and his adoptive parents Robert and Ivy Gibson. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, James, Norm, and Roger; his sisters, Ann Kennedy, Barbara Barone, Sharon Lewis, his twin sister Betty Daniel and a daughter Kimberly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, of 62 years, whom he married on March 1, 1958, his sister Mary Daniels, and his children, Rob (Deborah) Gibson of Youngsville, PA, Terri (LeRoy) Hornstrom of Norfolk, VA and Troy (Jennifer) Gibson of Jamestown, NY; 12 grandchildren: Leslie (Matt) Wilson, Daniel (Tina) Hornstrom, Sammi (Shawn) Lawson, Bobby (Dan) Szkutak, Corey Gibson, Simone Gibson (Richie Luzier), Casey Gibson, Dakota Morris, Haley Gibson, Tristin (Taylor) Gibson, Dacoda Buchanan, Benjamin Gibson and 13 great grandchildren.

A private memorial service for the family will be held this spring.
