Richard Inter

Richard J. Inter, 94, of Youngsville, passed away Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 at the Rouse Warren County Home.


Richard was born on February 22nd, 1926 in Erie, PA to the late John and Jean (Hynek) Inter. Richard served in the United States Navy during WWII and then served in the Merchant Marines. He then served aboard a cruise ship and sailed to Argentina until he got a job sailing the Great Lakes. Richard then took a job as 1st Mate on the SS Ste. Claire, sister ship to the SS Columbia. These ships sailed the Detroit River to Boblo Island amusement park. Richard was a life member of the Masters Mates and Pilots Union.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Bianca Inter, whom he married April, 2nd 1959 at St. Luke’s Church in Youngsville. He is also survived by his sisters Norma Jean Bryant and Eleanor Mostert of Kissimee FL, and his nieces Shelly, Lynn, Pam, Amy, Janet, Karen, Nancy, Carol, Beth and his nephew Fred Inter. His brothers, Thomas, Gerald, and Joseph predeceased him.

Entombment will take place at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum of the Ascension and will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Rouse Warren County Home or to Hospice of Warren.
