RUSSELL, Pa. – R.O.A.R. (Revitalization of Russell and Akeley) will be hosting its annual Pine Grove Days event on Saturday, May 27, in downtown Russell.
The Run for R.O.A.R. 5k will get the day started from the Russell United Methodist Church at 9 a.m. Registration will be in the church parking lot from 8 – 8:45 a.m. A flea market at the Russell Trading Post Antiques & Treasures shop will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
A parade, traveling from Woodlawn Drive down North Main Street and ending at the Russell VFD, will begin at 11 a.m. The vendor fair and Russell VFD chicken BBQ will also begin at 11 a.m., and the Kids Zone in the church parking lot will be open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Live music featuring local musicians Dean Wells and Alyssa Wismar will begin at 2 p.m. A classic car cruise-in will be held from 3 – 6 p.m., with registration beginning at 2 p.m.
The Russell Roller Rink will provide music for Dancin’ on Main Street from 7 – 9 p.m., and the event will be capped off with a fireworks display provided by Ace Pyro.
