WARREN, Pa. – Warren County Pride celebration leaders announced the formation of Warren County Pride, Incorporated, a 501c3 organization.
According to a release from the group, “Warren County Pride, Inc. is the first community-based 501c3 organization focused on celebrating the LGBTQIA community’s presence within Warren County, PA.”
The WCPI board members are Sara Culver Provencio, President; Jill Sumner, Vice-President; Douglas Hearn, Treasurer; and Father Matthew Scott, Secretary.
“We want to express our appreciation to Trinity Memorial Episcopalian Church for helping guide our organization through this process and providing us with space to meet,” said Culver Provencio.
WCPI will serve as the host for Warren County Pride Day and other related events throughout the year. Warren County Pride Day is scheduled for June 18 at Betts Park, and plans for an LGBTQ+ film festival in the week leading up to Pride Day were recently announced.
Pride Day 2021 was the annual event’s biggest draw to date and featured games, events, vendors and a host of speakers, including Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman.
