Police Identify Motorcycle Accident Victim

WARREN, Pa. – The victim in Monday’s fatal, one-vehicle motorcycle accident was a 48-year-old Port Allegany man, Pennsylvania State Police announced Tuesday.

According to a release from PSP-Warren, Richard R. Price, 48 of Port Allegany, was traveling east on Route 59 at approximately 12:10 p.m. when he lost control of his 2008 Suzuki VZ800 while negotiating a curve just past the Kinzua Dam.

“(Price) was negotiating a slight left curve just past the dam when for unknown reasons he drifted off the roadway and struck the guide rail in two separate locations,” police said. “(The motorcycle) fell on its side throwing (Price) off the motorcycle.”

Warren County Coroner Melissa Zydonik responded to the scene and pronounced Price dead at 2 p.m.

Police said Price was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
