WARREN, Pa. – Marlene’s Superstars, the pickleball team of Marlene Sandberg of Warren, recently raised nearly $1,000 for the St. Jude’s Pickleball Challenge.
Per St. Jude’s, the pickleball fundraiser called on participants to “challenge yourself to 35 Pickleball Matches in May! Have fun and fundraise for the kids of St. Jude as you play.”
Marelene’s Superstars went well beyond that, playing over 1,400 games so far in the month of May in its fundraising efforts, and isn’t finished yet. Sandberg encourages anyone who still wants to get involved to contact her.
