Ordiway Scorches the Nets as Dragons Win Ninth Straight

February 28, 2021

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren Dragons are playing great basketball, and they’re having fun doing it.

Behind 23 points from Parks Ordiway and another great defensive effort, the Dragons won their ninth consecutive game, 58-45 over Region 5 foe Fort LeBoeuf on Saturday.

Ordiway scored 12 of his 23 points in the first quarter, as the Dragons led from start to finish.

Payton Barnes played a strong overall game for the Dragons (15-4 overall, 9-4 Region 5), finishing with a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Ben Berdine, the Dragons’ leading scorer on the season, had a quiet first half on the offensive end, but scored nine in the second half.

JT Blum also had another solid game on both ends of the floor with nine points.

Then, there’s freshman point guard Tommy Nyquist. All he did was dish out seven assists, serving as a perfect catalyst for the offense while playing another strong game on the defensive end of the floor.

The Dragons led by as many as 17 points in the second half, despite the best efforts of Fort LeBoeuf’s Marquis Richmond, who scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half.

Max Endres and Derek Black added eight points each for the Bison (6-8, 4-7).
