Ordiway Leads Trio of Dragons in Double Figures as Warren Tops Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa. — Parks Ordiway led a Warren 3-point attack with six of his own while scoring 20 points in the Dragons’ 65-50 first-round win over the Raiders.

Warren plays Union in the final on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Ordiway was 6-for-9 from the 3-point line as the Dragons finished 9-for-15 overall. Brady Berdine scored 16 points with seven rebounds. Tommy Nyquist added 12 points. The Dragons shot 51 percent from the field (22-for-43) and forced 22 Brookville turnovers.

Jack Pete scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Raiders. Clayton Cook added 10 points and collected nine rebounds. Sophomore Kellan Haines came off the bench to score 10 points in his varsity debut.

The Raiders play Brockway in the consolation at 3:30 p.m.

UNION 64, BROCKWAY 34

BROOKVILLE, Pa. — In the first boys’ game at Brookville Friday, the Knights pulled away in the second half and hit the PIAA Mercy Rule’s running clock late in the game in their 64-34 win over the Rovers.

Union led 30-18 at halftime and built the lead with a 34-16 second-half advantage. Peyton Johnston scored 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor. Skyler Roxbury finished with 20 points and six rebounds while Zander Laughlin had 14 points, six rebounds, four steals and four assists. Dawson Camper wound up with nine points and 18 rebounds along with three blocks.

Alex Carlson scored 20 points to lead the Rovers.
