Oil City Fire Leaves Three Dead

OIL CITY, Pa. – According to the Oil City Derrick, a fire Saturday morning killed three people in Oil City.

The fire broke out just before 1 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at 2 East Bissell Avenue and there were reports of people possibly trapped.

The paper said firefighters attempted to search the building but were unable to because of “deteriorating” conditions. Once the fire was brought under control, a search was conducted and three victims were found.
