Northwest Bank Hosting Military Christmas Care Package Donation Box

WARREN, Pa. – As part of its ongoing commitment to giving back, Northwest Bank is hosting a Military Christmas Care Package donation bin through Nov. 28 at its branch on 2nd Avenue.

Anna Hagberg, from Girl Scout Troop 60172, and Caitlin Hagberg, Girl Scout Troop 16358, are helping collect care package donations for deployed military servicemembers. They will be forwarding their donations to the Blue Star Mothers for packaging. A collection box is located inside the lobby at the 2nd Ave Northwest Branch.

Donation suggestions include Beef Jerky, Slim Jims, Protein/ Power Bars, Dried fruits, fruit snacks, trail mixes, coffee, filters, sugar/cream packets, oatmeal packets, hot chocolate/spiced cider packets, peanut butter, mints, gum, hard candy. Nuts, sunflower seeds, microwave popcorn, pop-top canned fruit (no plastic containers). Water enhancers, zip lock bags (any size).

Small containers of body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, and mouthwash. Deodorant, dental floss, toothpaste, eye drops, foot powder, pocket tissues, pain relievers, Q-Tips, and disposable razors.

Discouraged items: Lighters, flammables, hand warmers, nerf guns, aerosols, ramen noodles, and crackers.
